JSF example problems

hi,all
I am new to JSF,when I started JSF example,and deploy it to tomcat 6.0,then I access from IE,i get a error like "#{..} is not allowed",
I find many materials said EL in JSF use "#",not "$",even if I change # to $,my page is not rended in IE.why?
anybody give some advices for this.

here is my code,
this is first jsp file(page1.jsf),second jsp file(page2.jsf) is a empty page to display result,which i did post here.

You need to include the taglib "h", so start your JSP with:
<%@taglib prefix="h" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"%>

Yes, the error-message is very cryptic.
