Hi,

I am experienced developer with J2EE1.4 (servlet&jsp), but i am very new with the JSF, I have try to read a few articles and books, I have got some idea how it run and work, but I still have no idea about advantages of JSF, why would I use it since I can build web app by using just Servlet&Jsp. In the book I read, it is only said that the JSF make it easy to build user interface components and pages, I wonder how it help?

For example::
In J2ee1.4 in web application form, I just write example snippet code below

<form ........
<INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="topic_subject"...>
..

</form>

With JSF technology, It seem like the JSF just replace the above code like sample code below

<f:view>
<h:form>
<h:inputText ......... ./>
</h:form>
<f:view>

So I am really wonder about the advantages of JSF in term of easy to build user interface components and pages. Does the book means that I can build my own component and reuse it with another web app? Can someone please help to explain about that?

Thank you

Nitin Tonk, please be sure to give credit when you copy something from somewhere else rather than passing it off as your own work. Better yet, don't copy it -- provide a link.
