I am having problem running JSF in jBoss. The same example is running fine on Tomcat 6. I use following : jboss-4.2.2.GA , jdk1.5.0_11
following jar file are used in lib jsf-api.jar jsf-impl.jar jstl.jar standard.jar
I exclude theses jar file and getting same error!
On deploying the ear file following error is shown :
Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class org.jboss.web.jsf.integration.config.JBossJSFConfigureListener java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.faces.application.ApplicationAssociate at com.sun.faces.application.ApplicationAssociate.getInstance(ApplicationAssociate.java:172) at com.sun.faces.config.JSFVersionTracker.publishInstanceToApplication(JSFVersionTracker.java:266) at com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener.contextInitialized(ConfigureListener.java:408)

JBoss already ships with a JSF implementation in its library. It might be conflicting with your JSF implementation. Thumb rule is that you should never mix JSF implementations (e.g. Mojarra and MyFaces together). Doublecheck all libraries thoroughout all paths of the classpath.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
