how to erase or hide or delete components in a page using JSF

hi friends,

I have to delete or erase or hide the components in JSF page,when it has to do means when clicking one button in jsf page.The same page must be cleared and again shown to the user.....
will any one know this..?

Use the 'rendered' attribute of the JSF component in question.
