recently there was a interesting discussion about jdo vs. hibernate on this forum.
(Peter den Haan and Eric Lemaitre)
What do you think about the prospects of jdo?

btw. I think you have written a very good to grasp book about a wide range of complex topics. Even before some collegues here have successfully used hibernate in a project just with the documentation on hibernate website and 2 or 3 articles.

Well, I already commented a bit more than I usually do, on the subject of JDO. The JDO vendors are very keen to promote their technology, obviously, and they tend to jump on anyone who criticizes JDO at all, and it turns out to be impossible to have an actual conversation. So I have been refraining from talking about JDO in public lately.

Instead I'll say: try things out, and see what suits you best.
