IDE for hibernate

I want to design UML , then it will generate hbm file and create tables for me. what IDE tool can do this for me ?

I always got confusing with Middlegen. Sound like we have to have database before we start up Middlegen. My understanding is correct ?

Thanks

You can use FireStorm/DAO to design your database and generate both the tables and the Java code (and you can choose between JDBC, JDO, EJB, Hibernate implementations).

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
