Hi all

What is the difference between Commom-logging and Log 4j.IN Hibernate,is it nessary to use both common logging and Log4j.I read a book ,in that they use coomon logging and Log4j.If both Tool do the same work,then why same use in same application

Commons logging is an abstraction layer on top of logging frameworks, it doesn't in itself log anything.

log4j is a logging framework. It does the actual logging.
