OK, give us a little more information to go on, Maya. Are the two machines both running Java, or is one running an MS technology like ASP .NET? What kind of communication should the two machines carry out? Why are you doing this?

Kyle,
Thanks for responding
Yes, the two machines run on Java. My machine (or the server has WAS running).
The aim is to transfer a file between the machines.
Thanks

OK, then you're probably going to want to use SOAP with attachments for this. This means that the WSAD wizards won't help much since they don't handle that. It's not that hard, though -- let me see if I can't come up with a simple set of steps for you...
Kyle
P.S. Are you using WSAD too or just WAS?

Hi,
For SOAP with attachments
1. The speed for uploading/downloading files, Is the speed depending on the file type ?
2. Is there a maximum size for the file that should be sent in SOAP as an attachment ? If so, whats the size ?
Thanks

Hi folks -- I now have an article on the IBM WebSphere Developer's domain that explains in detail how to solve Maya's problem (I sent a preview of it earlier to solve that problem). For everyone else, it can be found here:
