Weblogic 8 provides a lot of support for web services. Is there still a benefit to using axis on weblogic 8? Pro's and con's please.

Axis or Weblogic8,
Well both are good. Both has got good documentation to get started.
One advantage of weblogic8 is you can directly inherit the weblogic features and J2EE features on J2EE components and expose them as webservice.
Axis is webservices enabler or plugin for any server.
