This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Congratulations! Please send me your snail mail address and phone number by sending an email to bookpromotion AT javaranch DOT com with the subject "promotion winner - Apache Axis Live" and I'll forward your information to the publisher.
Originally posted by R Kumar: May I know on what basis the winners are evaluated. I have been for a long time with this forum with quite a no. of good posts.
What all parameters make you as a winner ?
From the book promotion page: Some time during the day on Friday, the promotion will end and the forum will be combed for qualifying messages since the promotion began (this is an automated process). From these, four winners will be randomly selected.
You say "combed for qualifying messages". But what does this search process do ? What qualifiying messages does it pick and on what parameters ?
Thanks & Regards,
I think messages that are pertinent to the forum will be in the search(irrespective of if they are related to the book). But, messages that only talk about a poster's cat or dog will be disregarded(since they don't give any value for that specific forum visitors)
Wow, cool. I didn't even know there were something to win this week. It's quite a good present to celebrate my 800th post
btw, I haven't seen any post from James Goodwill. The author was not invited as usual ?? [ February 07, 2005: Message edited by: Jean-Louis Marechaux ]
