Guys, I have a tough problem which hold me up for several days. I deploy a java Web Service in Axis running on Tomcat. But the web service did not behave like I expected. I am wondering is there any ways to debug a web servie? Especially using Eclipse IDE? You may suggest I to use logging mechanism. But the problem is my web service will invoke third-party libraries and I want to see what is going on inside the third-party libraries. How to achieve this?? Any comments are welcome!

Thnx a lot...

What 3rd party lib are you using ??
The lib should give some exceptions upon error, which can be captured in the try-catch block of java code.
Assuming the thrid party libs will throw some errors, was it being captured by the server and inturn displayed in the SOAP Response fault string ??
then you have the choice to see what the actual error is and start debugging it..
