I am trying to have my Web Service connect to a database, but cannot figure out how to do so. I wrote a Java application that connect to the database successfully, so I know the code should work. I am connecting to a MySQL database and have the connector/j.jar file in the axis/lib folder as well as the server/lib folder for Tomcat. Is there anything else that I need to do to have the service successfully connect to the database?

Putting it into the Axis/WEB-INF/lib directory should be sufficient. What kind of error message are you getting?

Believe it or not, you already solved the problem. I put it in axis/lib not axis/web-inf/lib. That solved my problem, so thank you for your help!
