I need to create a web service which takes an xml document as input returns an xml document.Is this kind of implementation possible?

what I need to do is like this:

public Document webserviceName(Document inputDocument){
....
Document outputDocument;
....
return d;
}
I need to bypass the Soap engine serialization deserialization.

TIA
