Hello sunamd -

Welcome to JavaRanch.

On your way in you may have missed that JavaRanch has a policy on display names, and yours does not comply with it. Specifically, a first name, a space, and a last name are required. Please adjust it accordingly, which you can do right here. Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.

As to your question, the Axis distribution comes with a directory "webapps". In there, you'll find a folder "axis" - move that to your Tomcat webapps folder, and you're all set.

Moving to the web services forum.

Please take note of Ulf's request and fix your screen name before picking up the conversation over there.

Thanks.

Hi Ben/Ulf

Thanks for your sugesstion regarding display name.Hope its fine now.Comming back to the wsdl thing ive already palced the axis from axis distribution to the webapps folder of tomcat.then i tried running the axis example(happyaxis) from java ranch n its running perfectly fine. The problem arises whenever i try to run HelloClient.java program. It give Noclassdefinition found error.Later i imported all the jar files n tried running it.This time it compiled and when i tried to run the programm as per the ranch example instruction it says again NoClassDefinition found error and reffer to some file which is not in the downloaded version of my axis.I have downloaded xml-axis from axis distribution. Please let me know wether ive downloaded the exact axis version,n if no please request u to send me the url for downloading that file with its name.

It's hard to diagnose a problem when the specifics are unknown. Which class is missing? TellTheDetails. It's much more likely that this is a classpath problem than that it is a problem of an incorrect/incomplete version you downloaded.
