Hello Friends,
Need to know one basic stuff in webservice
1. Generally webservice gives xml format for interoperability
In all examples given in net, they have given for adding2 numbers, displaying helloworld

I tried creating webservice for getting employee details in xml ,if empno is passed.

1. First how it is generally endpoint designed in this scenario. Do we have frame the xml retrieving values from DB and mapit to some where for the program to take?
2. In one program example in our project for orders they gave wsdl
which has tag mentions. when axis used, the stubs show deserialize and some xml reader and output was in string array format.

3. Kindly explain how the xml comes to client and how the access is done

NOTE: Kindly explain with some exampleor details. Dont refer me to tutorial..Please please

Web services done right can be complicated and require some up front research.

Most of the tutorials deal with RPC-style web services - you seem to be needing a document-oriented web service.
To understand some of the issues involved take a look at:

Patterns and Strategies for Building Document-Based Web Services

4.3 Designing XML-Based Applications

You will find it much easier to find relevant material once you understand some of the issues and terms in those articles.
