I am new to axis, I am going to download it and install it.
I found two which are axis_bin and axis_src.

My question is which one should be downloaded?

Thanks

axis_src contains the source code, while axis_bin is the ready-to-install compiled (a.k.a binary) version. Unless you have specific reasons to want to build Axis from scratch, you should go with the binary version.

What's the value of AXISCLASSPATH? Does it contain the jar file that contains the org.axis.client.AdminClient class?

Note that there are two active versions of the AXIS project - which one did you download?

Also - what are you using for the servers side installation? Have you been able to install axis2.war and get the "happy axis" responses from the server?
