Hi Victoria,
The libraries you are looking for will depend on which configuration (CLDC, CDC) you will be working with.
This link ( http://www.ericgiguere.com/microjava/links.html ) has reference to the J2ME CLDC, CDC, other libraries and specifications.
Specifically and for example, go to the link above and click on the "Connected Limited Devices Configuration (JSR-30)" link. This takes you to Sun's site for this configuration. Click on the "Connected Limited Devices Configuration, Specification, Version 1.0" link there. This zip file contains a .pdf with the CLDC API/Library and various other items.
Here is the root URL from where all of this info can be found: http://www.ericgiguere.com/microjava/index.html
Does this help???

Thank you. Bye.

Hi Victoria,
Don't worry about your english, you should hear my spanish (well, I got a 'D' in spanish and had to take it over so you probably don't want to hear it ).
As far as the mobile book and the J2ME libraries, if you are refering to Eric Eric Giguļæ½re's book "Java 2 Micro Edition: Professional Developer's Guide", I have not had the pleasure to read it yet, but maybe he can tell you what is in it (he come by here once in a while).
Can you explain what you are looking for by saying "And with J2ME's application?".

Hi Matt,
Sorry, sorry, I want to tell you the list of direction of the people (mobile book?), do you understand me?.
And J2ME's application, any program that have relation with the mobile book.
What type of library is used? Is it possible?
Thank you.
Best Regards, Victoria.

I reckon Victoria may be asking:
Is there any way for J2ME code to interface with non-Java elements of the phone, specifically its phonebook?
Maybe?

Alex,
It depends. MIDP doesn't provide anything directly. I'm not sure of the security model (anyone?). Its possible that vendor implementators may provide platform specific APIs to do just that. It is also expected that non-MIDP profiles will provide more system interaction capabilities.

Read the MIDP spec:
http://java.sun.com/aboutJava/communityprocess/final/jsr037/index.html
and the CLDC spec:
