This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I took the Java University J2ME course last June (the one given at JavaOne). I found it extremely confusing. But then, at the time, I had no idea what terms CLDC, MIDP, JAM meant. It may have been me, or it may have been that the presenter didn't cover the basics very well (I'd say both cases were equally likely there). I suspect either of those possibilities will be less likely with a Sun course, because it's probably been thoroughly reviewed. --Mark firstname.lastname@example.org
[Begin self-promotion.] Can't comment on the course, but for about the same money you can just buy my book, which has gotten some good reviews up on Amazon. Read the book and you'll definitely understand what J2ME is all about. [End self-promotion.]
