Has anyone taken this class from Sun? Was it worth it? (Admittedly its only $30) Does it look worth it?
Thanks,
John

I took the Java University J2ME course last June (the one given at JavaOne). I found it extremely confusing. But then, at the time, I had no idea what terms CLDC, MIDP, JAM meant. It may have been me, or it may have been that the presenter didn't cover the basics very well (I'd say both cases were equally likely there). I suspect either of those possibilities will be less likely with a Sun course, because it's probably been thoroughly reviewed.

[Begin self-promotion.] Can't comment on the course, but for about the same money you can just buy my book, which has gotten some good reviews up on Amazon. Read the book and you'll definitely understand what J2ME is all about. [End self-promotion.]

Just bought the book last week but haven't had a chance to start reading it. Since I need to do some research today your book will be the first resource I look at today.
