For those of you who have used both, jqplus and j@whiz - scjp test simulator, which would you recommend more? I heard about jqplus here, and everyone said if you do well on its tests, you will definitely pass the sun test. I'm taking the certification test within a month from now, and I'm wondering if I should get j@whiz as well. Or is jqplus enough?

Dear Chris,
Thanks for raising this question.
No doubt JQ+ is a nice product and we respect them as our competitor. At the same time I would like to mention that we have something better and extra to offer. With the release of J@Whiz Version 2.0, we assure you the HIGHEST level of satisfaction.
Here is a brief of the latest updates in J@Whiz:
1.)Interactive Quiz It is one of our unique features which has been appreciated overwhelmingly by the users of our various products. It helps you revise for SCJP in an effective and efficient manner and will definitely have significant contribution to your actual exam score.
2.)More and updated Quick Revision Tips It has always been helpful for quick revision to our users and there has always been an overwhelming demand for more of the same. This update will contribute even more.
3.)Updated Question Bank With the extremely valuable feedback from our users, we have updated our question bank in J@Whiz 2.0 release on Oct7 2001. All the questions related to applets have been replaced by much tougher and Code based questions which are in sync with the current pattern of SCJP.
4.)J@Whiz 2.0 has 749 Questions in all; of which 166 are newly developed.
If you still have any concern, it will be our pleasure to address it.
Warm regards and best wishes

Hi Ranchers!
Chris has raised a very important issue for those preparing for SCJP. I have tried both J@Whiz and JQ+.
I found the selection of questions in J@Whiz more balanced and very similar to the actual SCJP exam. Using J@Whiz I was able to exactly pinpoint the areas in which I lacked, and having 11 Mock Tests really helped me in the final days. I highly recommend it for anyone preparing for Java certification.
In my opinion, exery extra point on the certification exam matters, every extra mock-test that you take before the exam matters and it will be wise to invest in J@whiz even if you have already spent on JQ+
I hope I have been able to answer your question satisfactorily.
cheers,
Aruna

J@Whiz is pretty cheap anyway, so I guess it can't hurt to get it as well just to make sure I'm prepared. Anyway, I thought I would post another good review for the scjp exam that I found. You can find it at http://cramsession.brainbuzz.com/cramsession/Sun/java2/. From that page you can either view an html or pdf version of the 43 page review. You just have to create a user on their site before you can view the review though.
