Is there a small, freely available gzip/zlib compression library around that will run on J2ME/MIDP?
Thanks, Gary

I have not found any. Have you thought about trying to compile the existing java.util.zip classes with J2ME libraries?

Unfortunately the existing java.util.zip package classes rely on a native zlib library. I've been playing around with jzlib with some success (it compiles at least). See http://www.jcraft.com/jzlib/.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
