Is MIDP for Palm ready for "prime-time", or do you still recommend something like IBM J9 VM to allow access to Palm guts. Thanks.

Hi Rob, Are you speaking from a point of view of stability, or for access to the Palm API's? I am sure you are aware that MIDP of Palm OS does not support any native access to the Palm. John Muchow Author of Core J2ME

I am aware that MIDP for Plam does not allow access to native Palm API's. My concern was with performance with MIDP for Palm. Stability is a good question also since you brought it up. Would appreciate your thoughts on both the performance and stability issues. Thanks.

I have not found any concerns regarding stability. Regarding performance, unfortunately, I have not had an opportunity to compare various implementations Anyone? John Core J2ME
