Listening Sockets on MIDP/CLDC

Hi,
Is there a way to listen on a port on Palm (Emulator) to get a string from a PC using sockets connection. Please help.
We used this below but it gave ioexception.
StreamConnection s = (StreamConnection)Connector.open("socket://localhost:7777");
