Hi,
I have a problem in loading a png image file on to the palm emulator.
This is the code i use in the program.
im = Image.createImage("/timer.png");
I am including the timer.png file in the jar file.
No problem when the convert to the .prc file while using the Converter tool. The application runs on the emulator but does not load the image. I can't see the image on the screen.
Any help on this will be appreciated
Thanks
uma

Well, you are a bit ahead of me. I am having trouble with the PRC Converter tool. Perhaps if you can give me some help there, I can take a look at your code and see what happens for me.
Would you please take a moment to browse my previous question about the PRC Converter?
I have a question about your app. Does it run with Sun's implementation of MIDP? That's the only thing I can think of at this point

Hi Layne Lund,
I am using sun implementation MIDP1.0.3
Iam using the converter tool which is in the
midp4palm1.0.
I tested your program it works fine with my environment setup.
I executed from the command line.
java Converter.jar .sun.midp.palm.database.MakeMIDPApp -type Data Welcome.jar
please execute the command in one line. This will convert the jar file to a prc file. Your jad file and manifest seems to be correct.
If you let me know your email id i can send the prc file to you.
Hope this solves the problem.
Regards

Thank you. I will try that. I was just using the Converter tool's GUI to open the file which gave me the error. I'll try the command that you gave me instead.

p.s. If you view my profile, you can get my email. You can access any user's profile by clicking the picture with face and question mark at the top of their post next to the date and time stamp.
However, the PRC file for this Welcome program really isn't the goal. I am just using it to figure out how to convert the jar file to a prc file. Of course, if you would like to email the project you are working on, I'll take a look at it.
