Hi,
I'm trying to get my MIDLets onto my Motorola T720. AFAIK the current data set available for this phone cannot transfer midlets (that's what some Motorola folks told me...) And I don't no any public server to put midlets to just for testing...
TIA

If you have the ability to put your jar/jad files in some file space on the web, you should be able to point your T720 browswer at the the directory with those files and download them OTA to your phone.

I have the same phone. I also have my own hostingprovider so I'm not having trouble, but I've heard some rumours that, when you can prove you are a developer, you can get a software update from Motorola so you can use the datacable to upload midlets. But remember this can only be done by Motorola officials.

I just happened to look at the Motorola site yesterday. Actually it appears that "proving" you're a developer is paying $500 for technical support, plus a fee to have your phone upgraded and you have to send it to them to do it.
Check it out: Convert your T720/T720i to a Developer Phone
For downloading MIDlets, I think that in addition to needing a server to download from, it needs to have the appropriate mime types registered for the JAR and JAD files.
