First thing I would do Wentrace, is to break up your class into a few classes. It looks like you gave the GUI, the Business Logic, and the Record Store code all in one place. By spliting this into seperate classes, you will be able to debug, enhance, and maintain your code better. Also it will make less code for you to post here for us to look at. Right now, unfortunately because it is all one big glob of code, it is almost impossible for us to look at it and figure out your issue. Also, you might want to redo your indentation. Whenever you hit a braces, you should indent all your next code with 4 spaces, until you hit the end of the braces, then bring the indentation back. It makes the code much easier to read and follows Sun's coding standards. Looking at your code a little closer, it looks like you have a few inner classes. Do these classes have to be inner classes, or can you split them out, and just create instances when you need them. Other than that, I can't figure out your problem with the RecordSource, because I can't tell where that code is in your example. But the suggestions that I have made can really help you out, to help isolate where the actual problem resides. Mark
