Dear all,
Does J2ME have any class or method to prompt pop-up box which I want to use to display some error message to users? The effect is similiar to the javascript pop-up window to alert the users that they have done something wrong.

Try the alert class. You can display a message and have it on for a while ot until the user presses a key

You'll find that class Alert has gained some new functionality in MIDP 2.0. In particular, it was often a problem in MIDP 1.0 that you couldn't get a callback from an Alert when it was dismissed; with MIDP 2.0, you can set the Alert's CommandListener so that some object gets a 'commandAction' callback when it's dismissed - great!
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
