Can wireless devices connect to the internet when indoors? Say for example inside a shopping mall? How good is the connection?

Yes, GPRS devices work just fine indoors. The problem spots are underground locations like subways where the device is surrounded by tons and tons of solid concrete. These days, however, most subways have fixed the problem by placing some kind of amplifying technology all over the place, I think.
