MIDlets use the "Record Management System",
or RMS, to access and store data on the device...I read this from a Tech Day J2ME Presentation...can someone explain this in lay man's term?

Basically there is no file systems, or should I say a guarantee of one, on these devices. Yet there needs to be a way to save some data, say configuration data like license number, name of licensee. So RMS has a RecordStore that can save this type of information. It is kind of like a Properties object. It has a name-value pair. So in the case of the data above

it would be like

license-name=Paulo Aquino

Does that make sense?
