J2ME - Double class

My J2ME application recognizes the java.lang.Integer class and the
java.lang.Long class, but it will not recognize the java.lang.Double class.
I have to use the Double class, because I have to display a double as a
string. So, I need to wrap the double value in the Double class and then
use Double.toString() in order to get a string that I can print out. How
come it will not recognize the Double class? Is the J2ME Wireless Toolkit
supposed to recognize it? If so, how can I make it recognize it?
Thanks!

If you've not already done so, you might check out the defined java.lang types available in CLDC 1.0 and CLDC 1.1, for example from the API references for them downloadable from here: http://java.sun.com/reference/api/
