ok,here is my question...lets say if i have an electronic engine which i want to connect to a PCB ,and control it via a Chip that was its internal code was written in Java\J2ME,is it technically possible??? (i know how to do it technically,i mean,i know electronics...but i dunno if its possible to write j2me\java embedded code on chips that arent celluar chips) if its possible, which chip do i need for this task??? and where can i get it??? 10x
In other words- how do you write a "real" embedded application in J2ME- I've been looking into that for some time and there are several options.
The highest performance pure Java solution (that I'm aware of) is the JStamp/JStik at www.systronix.com. (Also the TINI products at the same site) The JStamp/JStik implement the JVM in hardware, they run byte code natively (VERY coo!). They run under the CLDC profile.
There are other options, but I've had good success with the JStamp. Feel free to contact me if you have more questions...
