When a midlet connects to a server to exchange data, does anyone know how data bit errors are handled?

Can errors get through, or is a checksum or something used to ensure all data received is correct, with any incorrect data being resent?

Is it the same for CSD and GPRS?

Cheers,
James

The underlying layers will ensure that bit errors do not get through. You might lose the connection and have a server timeout, but you can rest assured that the data you receive is actually the data that was transmitted.

I'm sure it's theoretically possible to experience bit errors, but it's so unlikely it's practically never an issue.
