Well you can't really use
JDBC sine the ResultSet is not part of J2ME. THere are some third party tools out there like PointBase has to connecting, but that costs lots of money.
Personally I know that I can only deal with Strings on a J2ME device, so I create a
Servlet to receive the request from the J2ME device, which then calls a Plain Old
Java Object to use JDBC and connect to the database make my query, format the results into a
String and pass it back to the device.
