Cell phone apps : Win CE vs J2ME

I'd like to get into development for cell phones. What would the + and - of using either WinCE or J2ME.

Actually instead of Windows CE, I'd say .Net is easier and better than Windows CE, and the newer phones don't have the CE OS on it.

I'd learn to develop in both. They aren't too difficult. Actually the .Net is the exact same as if you were doing a desktop application in .Net.

I guess you're saying .NET dev would be simpler than J2ME all things being equal (person starting from scratch in either Java or C#). But I never hear of any .NET cell phones...

.Net cell phones are the Windows Mobile´┐Ż software. like the Motorola Mx220

However, there are much more J2ME enabled cell phones than Windows Mobile. But Windows on PDAs is bigger in my opinion with the PocketPC.

Don't let me sway you to Windows, the anti-christ. I have much more fun with J2ME, but I do find that I am quicker coding a .Net device app than the exact J2ME app.
