Respected Friends,
I want to make an applicationin J2ME for a GPRS enabled mobile phone which is connected to the serial port of the PC,this application would be running inside the cellular mobile phone, whenever I run this application all the files in my mobile phone with .txt extensions would be copied to the PC to some paticular folder passing through the serial port to which the mobile is connected, another problem which I am facing is that after the file passes through the serial port will it remain in its original state or I have to write some other application in the PC to bring the file in its original state.I would be thankful to you people if you send me your precious suggestions regarding this application, also I was unable to find any book in which the author has explined applications involving PC interfacing through mobile phone so if you have some knowladge than also please name some valuable books and other resources.

Thanking You,
Salman Faraz.

Welcome to Javaranch. I have removed your other 3 duplicate posts from the other forums. We appreciate if you will confine your questions to a single forum. Cross-posting, as it is called, is considered bad forum ettiquet. It makes it really hard to the staff and users to monitor the thread when it exists in multiple places. I feel your question is best asked in this forum. If proven otherwise a staff member will move it appropriatly.

You might want to take a look at this for more tips on how to use Javaranch effectivly.

Thanks and we look forward to more of your questions.
