Hi Guys,

I would like to clarify some doubts regarding a project tht we plan to do in J2me.

We have developed a project in .NET platform that use SQL Mobile version in device with the ability to edit and update with the Master server through internet.

The local database is mainteined by SQL mobile version locally and the masterdatabase is SQL 2005.

After some googling , I am clear about the below points.

1) A java pplication can inetract and perform the basic database opeartions with the help of JDBC .Some third party drivers also can be used.

2) A local dataset can be maintained by using J2ME record management system.

My question is :

Is it possible to interconnect the above operations?

Or is there any other way to perform the task [store local data, view, edit, update with master server through Internet].

Your reply will greatly apprecited.!

"aneeshabraham1",

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!
