HI Addullah,

there is no fully fledged database as such...

you can use the Record Management System for your purpose

Well, you can see if your database vendor has a J2ME solution, or you will need to create "Web Services" to handle comm calls from the mobile device. So a Servlet as a Web Service can work for this.

it is easy just call servlet from your midlet which takes parameter from midlet and insert into database.

for that you have to creat one servlet and make jdbc connection and fire insrt into query and takes data from midlet as parameter and stores in to local variable into servlet.

from midlet you have to make one http connection in new thread and in that url you have to pass some parameter to servlet.

if you still not get soluation that tell me.

bye

HI..

I am sorry...

I had misunderstood the question...

Both the web service and Servlet based solutions seem to be practical...

But what attributes would be used to choose either one...

THanks in advance

you can also socket programming to send data as command and from your server it accept command and manipulate data.
