Hi guys!

I'm trying to develop an application that must run on a Palm OS device and must take pictures.

The virtual machine that I'm using is the IBM WEME (MIDP 2.0).

I've developed an application for camera accessing using the MMAPI that works fine on my mobile phone but unfortunately it doesn't on the Palm OS device! (It throws a media exception when trying to create the player to show the camera images).

By my researches up to now I don't think it's possible ...

Please!!! Does somebody knows how to access the camera and take pictures in a Palm OS Device? Is there any kind of external API for WEME that allows such operation? Or Am I Lost? hehehe

Thanks!

If you're getting a media exception, either the media JSR isn't supported by your Palm device or you're asking it for a driver that's not available.

You might want to google around and see if anyone has any reports on using the camera via Java on that device.

hi again!

I do think that my device doesn't allow video capture (even because I've tried to get the MMAPI version and it didn't return me anything). The real problem is that the WEME doesn't seem to have support to the JSR 135 (and others JSR's as well ).

But by the way ... does anybody knows if there is any kind of external MMAPI for the WEME? Actually I've heard something about it but I'm not sure ...

Could somebody help me?

Thanks again!
