The attribute should be declared in the JAD file and contain an URL
that is invoked to report the MIDlet installation status.

This is described in the MIDP 2.0 specs.

hi,
I added a servlet path in MIDlet-Install-Notify attribute in jad file in which i am getting all the header values.
After running the app, i got the headers as written below; The jar got downloaded but didnot return any status code for success or failure in the header..

So is there any other way of getting the status code?

Try reading the status from the request. i.e. request.getInputStream()

The status of the MIDlet installation does not comes in the header part.
It will present inside body
