First you have to develop the device discovery and device search program and using this, you can search the device and then you can do the chatting between them.

Fist develop device discovery program which will search device available currently with bluetooth on.

and then search service availabe for that device.

This work you have to do just. After that it is easy to chat between them

Dear all,
It is doable, but you should be carefull about the server side, if you want to use J2SE application in sever side , you should use the socket connection, otherwise if you want to use J2EE app like Servlet, you should use the Http connection and don't worry about the connections because the J2ME supports the both connections, but you should use the GPRS or WiFi (if device supports) to connect to server.

I was on a brink to open a new topic with almost the same question...
1. Any good tutorial you've seen lately on java bluetooth connection with cellphone?
2. Would like to take that communication further and use the mobile's phone line for IVR and music-on-hold. Anybody done that in Java? Any helpful tutorial on such a topic?

The simplest way is using the blubooth.
But if you need a stable solution, use the pc as a server.
