Since this is going to be an individual project the scope of the project will have to be selected carefully.
(1) Automate a leave management system and provide mobile interfaces for the required functionalities (in addition to the existing web/ standalone interfaces).
(2) Provide mobile interfaces for a student management system. (E.g.: subject enrollments, etc)
(4) m-commerce solution for a selected domain.
(3) Multi player game via bluetooth.
I have no clue whether these are up to the standard of a final year project. Just wanted to give some ideas. Anyway trying to come up with a project idea which is entirely "mobile" is a bit hard according to my experience. Try to combine mobile with some other technology like web.

You can write a project which you could take to potential employers. To do that, write a few companies. Ask them what they need. You will not get answers by all companies, but that is how commerce works. Many business would be complimented to have you ask them what they would actually want.
Even then, if you showed up at the door it may not be as useful as they told you but with enough letters and work you could pull this through to working someplace that actually wants what you have to offer.
This should be in General Computing or Jobs Discussion.

I think you are a Sri Lankan. So you can be develop a traditional Sri Lankan game with more innovative ideas. One of my friend did a "PORA POL" game using J2ME for his final year project in University. Think about that.
