Please tell me about real time use of Thread. Even you can give General Example. No need to go for program.

Hello, A.GOPI ARUMUGAVALLI, Welcome to JavaRanch. This is a forum for questions about JavaRanch. For questions about Threads, we have a forum named "Threads and Synchronization".

I will move this question to that forum for you.

You've probably run into threads many times. When you do File/Print in Microsoft Word, the little printer image at the bottom shows it's working its way through the pages, but you can keep typing.

In Java Swing programs we often move anything that will take a while onto its own thread and let the user continue to work with the Swing thread.

Web servers often have a thread per request, so they can handle lots of users at once.

Any of those make sense?

A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi
