I want to establish a connection between Applet & Database. I tried using the various security permissions like PolicyTool. I know how to use the PolicyTool , but am stuck up at the Permissions grant level. Can any one guide me please?

Which type of driver are you using to connect to the database ?
Try using a type 3 or 4 driver.
