This is a question for Michael Ernest I think.
Moreover, we welcome you at Javaranch and hope you'll stick around. But we'd like you to read the Javaranch Naming Policy and register again.
Thanks for your cooperation

Valentin,
It seems that many newcomers pay little attention to the Naming Policy. With all the programmers at JavaRanch...Why isn't the name validated when the user registers. Certainly, some level of validation can be done.
I've only been here a short time and have seen you post this quite often.

Had to laugh to myself when I read this:
"Its seems that many newcomers pay little attention to the Naming Policy. With all the programmers at JavaRanch..."
and expected the next sentence to be
"you'd think they knew how to follow instructions better."
Ha!

Sadly, I can only recommend that you contact Sybex, the publisher, for technical support on the CD-ROM. By the time I was done writing and working through galleys, I wasn't all that excited about testing the online test for product assurance. We just checked for correct answers.
