applet resources

I wrote a pretty decent applet about a year ago and now I just found out that I'm about to write a bunch more.
I remember all sorts of tricky issues involving applets, but it would be nice if there were some thorough references, since this time I will be trudging into some new territory (frames and applet-to-applet communication)
Anybody have suggestions for books, web sites, etc?
