I know this is going to sound weird, but anyway.
I am reviewing an article on the programmers cert. exam in which the author claims that the exam may include "Drag and drop" style question!!! Now I never got such a question but that was on earlier versions of the test. I have never seen any Sun materials that mention drag and drop style questions. However, before I blast the author, I thought I better check:
In the current version, has anybody ever gotten any type of question besides the multiple choice (with the number of correct choices indicated) and fill in the blank types?
Bill

I saw some people reporting that they got such questions in the SCWCD exam. But nobody mentioned it for SCJP!

If we move this thread to the Results forum, we will probably have a better chance of getting a definitive answer.

Nope, didn't have any in my exam (took it in February '01) and I don't recall reading anything in the exam objectives about it and I'm pretty sure RHE doesn't discuss it either. I'd say you'd be well within your rights to blast that guy

hope this is not offtopic here. but would you let me know where is the errata for the book exam cram located. i am too afraid to go to your book without the errata. i have heard good things about the book but bad things about the mis-printing and errors. and for scjp i don't want to take any chances.
regarding drag and drop, no way , they are not in the exam objectives and last week two of my freinds gave the test and they have confirmed that this is NOT in the test.

Errata for all of the books that LANWrights has been involved with are at: http://www.lanw.com/books/errata/
Hopefully you will get a 2nd edition of Java 2 Exam Cram - it has practically all of the earlier errors removed.

Bill,
But the Sun's exam objectives (the PDF file) does say that a 'Drag & Drop question' is possible. When I first saw it some days back even I was wondering about that. I plan to take the SCJP soon.

Hey, you are right, the certification_progj2se_07_01.pdf does say
"Exam type: MUltiple choice, short answer, and drag and drop"
under the Certification Requirements Checklist heading. I guess I will have to restrict my comments to something like:
"Although the objectives document mentions drag and drop questions, nobody seems to have encountered any questions in this format on the current test."
