Hey everyone, In case you didn't know, here is some important info about the exam that is good to know. Number of questions: 59 Pass score: 61% Time limit: 120 minutes Minimum number of correct answers needed to pass: 36 Here is a link to a PDF put out by sun giving a lot of info on the test: http://suned.sun.com/US/images/certification_progj2se_07_01.pdf Here is a link to Sun's certification site: http://suned.sun.com/US/certification/ Also, if anyone who has taken the exam could post their experience with it, I'm sure everyone would appreciate it. I have heard that it's all multiple choice, true/false (i.e. you don't have to fill out any short answers or write any code). The test is electronic, and you will know your results after you submit your answers. Sun's site says that the exam is multiple choice, short answer, and drag and drop. I'm not sure if this is true or not, so post your experience with the exam to this thread. Thanks everyone, --Chris
Multiple choice and short answer questions do appear. Nobody has ever reported getting a drag and drop on the programmers exam - I think that is an error in that one paragraph. Bill
There are several questions where the code appears in a separate window - some times the code can be 20 lines or more. Remember to scroll through to the bottom of that window. Some questions have 6 or more answers , so remember to scroll to the end on the main window as well. On multiple choice questions, you are told how many to select. There are a few ( 2-3) questions where you are required to type in - usually a single word - so there's no ambiguity. The word you type in may be case sensitive- so pay attention to what you are typing. You are allowed to flag certain questions and come back to them later. Hope this helps.
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
