Hi
I have a question regarding exam questions that cover methods which are deprecated in the current java release.
For example, if you were asked whether the Thread.stop() method will stop a thread from executing should you choose no because it is deprecated, or choose yes because it will still work but give you a compile warning?
Thanks in advance for any help -McFly

The RHE (see FAQ) Study Guide makes mention of this saying that Thread.stop() is no longer included in the exam because it was deprecated since JDK 1.2
I think it would safe to say that in general, anything deprecated since JDK 1.2 will not be included in the exam. And the last time the exam was changed was sometime in October 2000, so I guess any new things introduced after that date (such as those in JDK 1.4) would also not be included.

Mc Fly..
I agree with Junilu.
The jdk1.2 or the Java 2 platform exam. is not suppose to ask you questions on deprecated methods or any other deprecated stuffs..
