About Ternary operator

Hi,can anyone tell whether the Ternary operator
(?: ) does a full evaluation or a partial evaluation to the operands.

public class Test{
public static void main(String args[]){
int i1=1;
int j1=2;
int i2=3;
int j2=4;
int i5 = (true) ? (i1=10) : (j1=20);
int i6 = (false) ? (i2=30) : (j2=40);
System.out.println(i1+","+j1+","+i2+","+j2);
}
}

Output: 10,2,3,40
which means only the relevant operand is evaluated
