I get a "bad command" error when I run startj~1.bat on the java command. I have Windows ME. Do I need to download Java from Sun? Do I need to make modifications to my path? Is there any documentation as to how to set things up so JQ+ will run?
I also have Win ME and JQ+ works fine. Yes, you have to have java installed on your machine. If you have already java installed (jdk or at least jre), make sure if there is a correct path. Well, you can always edit your bat file and add full path to java.exe file, for example: c:\jdk1.3\bin\java -classpath jqplus.jar hanu.qb.pgui.QBTestClient Have a nice day, Mariusz
this will be easier install jdk in any folder include the jdk path in autoexec.bat run the batch file on dos prompt or restart double click on startJQPlus on jqplus folder basha

Yeeeh, it will be easier, but only if you have only one jdk/jre on your machine. The problem is that many application include their own jdk versions (like Oracle for example). So after a few such installations, only the last installed application works correctly ;-) That's why I said that he always can (not have to!!!) edit his batch file. Well, at the beginning I didn't have to do it, but after I installed several Oracle and IBM tools I decided to edit it. Now I don't have to bother if my path is correct.
