Can anyone else tell me if they have had a nightmare getting the software installed. I've had a terrible time with it. When I detatch and save the software attatchment to my temp folder, I unzip it, double click on the startXXX.bat file, which in turn opens the dos window and displays the following message: C:\temp>java -classpath jqpus.jar hanu.qb.pgui.QBTestClient Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NOClassDefFoundError: hanu/qb/pgui/QBTestClient I am running java 1.2 on my machine - so it's not that. By the way I've emailed JQ support 3 times now, I emailed them the above error and I get a responce back saying "can you tell me what the problem is?" I give up. I've had nothing but problems with this piece of software. It's not exactly what I call plug and play.
Well what can I say, when I got mine, I unzipped it in a folder, double-clicked on startJQPlus.bat and everything worked like a charm. If we look at the startJQPlus.bat file, it contains the following: java -classpath jqplus.jar hanu.qb.pgui.QBTestClient If jqplus.jar is in c:\temp on your machine (which it should) and the java command is in the PATH, then it should work. Could you please post the values of your environment variables? Hang on, don't give up on JQ+, you'd regret it. [ March 28, 2002: Message edited by: Valentin Crettaz ]
Valentin, I think that JQPlus owes you a thank you gift for helping Rob with JQ+ installation issues. All in favour say yeah. An let's ship the thread to JQ+ in the end.

OK, I'm at home now and have got the thing going. Partly my fault and partly JQ's fault. I eventually figured out how to run it through the dos window - the paths were fine by the way. I still think there was a lot of messing about having to go into dos, doing a directory search, plucking out the unique file, typing in the file, blah blah blah blah blah.........why can't we just download the dang thing and run it - probably something to do with the fact that ther'd be a lot of pirate copies flyin' around a spose. Valentine, thanks for your help (and patients). It's been a long week and I think I'm loosing it, I need a beer. Cheers.
I have not heard bad things about JQPlus support in the year or so I have known about them, and just to show I have no built in interest in this, I have not heard bad things about their arch rivals at Whiz either ... Marcus
